Cannabidiol or CBD for short is a cannabinoid that interacts with a mammal’s ECS to improve certain functions within the body. In our case we are dealing with cannabis terpenes which are found in the trichomes of the plant’s flowering buds along with the THC and CBD molecules. Cannabis terpenes not only account for the distinct tastes and smells of each individual strain but they also carry therapeutic benefits associated with sleep, mood, and inflammation. 

The Endocannabinoid system or ECS for short is a complex cell signaling system that regulates a variety of functions and processes throughout mammal’s bodies to maintain homeostasis. The ECS has a broad reach throughout the body with cannabinoid receptors located everywhere from neurons to immune cells. The entourage effect refers to a belief that cannabinoids are more powerful when they work together with other cannabinoids versus taken alone. The effect is achieved by taking an extract that is a full spectrum. Full spectrum products are made with an extract that has all of the cannabinoids extracted from the hemp present in the finished oil.This means the product contains all of the natural terpenes and cannabinoids to include up to the legal limit of 0.3% Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). 

CBD Isolate is a pure form of CBD which contains no other cannabinoids or terpenes. In this process the full spectrum extracted oil goes through further refining to isolate out the CBD molecule resulting in a product that is 99% CBD and higher.

A broad spectrum oil is a CBD extracted oil that has undergone THC remediation most commonly by using a method called chromatography. In this process the THC is extracted from the full spectrum oil leaving all of the other naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenoids behind which make up the broad spectrum oil.
